Oh, Come let us Rejoice!

Hello dear friends. It has been a while since my last post... and a lot has happened. Jacob and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We spent the day with family and friends. We looked back and reflected on all of the things we have to be thankful for... and boy was there a lot. One of the things we are most thankful for this year is becoming pregnant. Jacob and I learned on October 19th that we are expecting a baby on June 29th, 2011. We are both very excited about this little miracle. I am currently 13 weeks pregnant. We will find out whether we will be blessed with a boy or a girl on Jan. 24th.
Our December has been filled with the craziness of the holidays. Work has been very busy for both of us and combined with the task of Christmas shopping and all that goes along with the holidays, we haven't had much time for much else (not to mention, I'm EXHAUSTED!).
This month we also lost someone very special to us. My grandpa, William Clarence Barbee, passed away on December 14th. His health had been declining over the past few weeks/months. He fell the weekend before and broke his hip and ended up getting pneumonia. He was 95 years old when he went home to be with the Lord. He packed a lot into those 95 years and I feel so blessed to have had him in my life for the 26 years that I did. He was a wonderful grandpa and will be greatly missed. We did get a chance to tell him that we are expecting, although, I'm not sure if he understood what we were telling him... whether he did at the time or not doesn't matter, I know now that he is watching over me and this baby. Heaven is a brighter place now that they have him as an angel.
Jacob and I are currently in Mississippi visiting his family. We arrived on Wednesday and will be leaving on Sunday morning to return home. We have really enjoyed spending time with his family. We don't get to see them often, so when we do it's a special treat.
I want to wish you and yours a Very Merry Christmas! Remember... Jesus is the reason for the Season.

Fall Fun

Well it's been about a month since my last update.. October was a very busy month for Jacob and I. We celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary on October 7th. Since we took the trip to Savannah the weekend before, we didn't do anything crazy. We did go out to dinner and spend a quiet evening together watching our wedding DVD and remembering that wonderful day.
Fall is my favorite season in NC. The leaves are absolutley gorgeous, the weather is perfect, and it's so nice to be outside enjoying all of God's creations. Jacob's parents came to visit over his birthday weekend. They arrived on his birthday (Thursday, October 21st). We went out to dinner at Firebird's and enjoyed catching up with them since we haven't seen them since May when we went to MS for Luke and Meagan's graduation. The boy's decided that they wanted to make a trip to Gander Mountain (an outdoor store.. similar to Bass Pro).. so we picked up my brother (you CAN'T go to Gander Mountain without him) and headed that way. Kathy and I tried to occupy ourselves while the boys looked at guns, hunting supplies, and gun cabinets/safes. That night we invited my family over and grilled burgers then built a fire in the fire pit to roast some marshmallows and share some laughs. It was very special for us to have both families together (we missed you Luke, Tim, Meagan, and Lindsey!) and to celebrate a special occasion together. On Saturday, we ventured up to West Jefferson, NC to show his parents around where my family spends some of our free time. We browsed the shops in town, checked out Elk Shoals (where we camp), and ate dinner at Shatley Springs before heading home. The trees were the most beautiful shades of red, yellow, and orange.. it was a great day. Sunday we took his parents to the church we have been going to and then got some lunch. The boys wanted to watch some football, so Kathy and I went shopping. After a nice low key evening at home, it was time to prepare for the upcoming work week and their trip home. It was sad to see them go, but we definitely enjoyed their visit.
Jacob and I just couldn't get enough of the mountains and planned to go back the next weekend to camp with my family. My parents went up earlier on Friday and set up camp, Jacob, Jared, and I went up after work. It's was nice to arrive to camp already set up... however, it was COLD. It didn't take me long to crawl in the tent with a space heater and my blankets (and the pups) to warm up (and when I say warm up, I mean from 30 degrees to like 38 degrees). Sleeping on the cold, hard, ground, and trying to share covers with a cover thief and two dogs, is very difficult. Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep between the bitter cold and howling coyotes. It was a unanimous decision to pack up camp, spend the day around town, eat dinner at Shatley Springs, and then head home to sleep in our warm houses, in our comfy beds.
Sadly, I didn't take any pictures during either of these excursions... so you'll just have to believe me when I say that October was a fun filled month.
Until next time...

Look Out Savannah...

We decided to take a long weekend and go to Savannah, Georgia with our friends Christina and Audie. I was very excited to see Christina (it had been a year since we had hung out) and just get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Although I have a fabulous group of kids this year, the beginning of school has been very stressful for me. We left early on Saturday morning and made it to Savannah around 10:30am. We met up with Christina and Audie where we would be staying but we couldn't check in until 3, so we got a map of the downtown area and began wandering around. I loved that we could walk everywhere we went.. the weather was in the low 80's and absolutely gorgeous. Oktoberfest was going on down by the river so we checked it out. We roamed the streets and the many squares, checking out the neat architecture. We ate lunch at Moon River Brewery.. they have very yummy sweet potato fries and a dipping sauce that makes them even better. We visited the cathedral of St. John the Baptist... it was absolutely breath taking.

After walking around for a while we headed back toward The Green Palm Inn so we could get checked in. We stayed at the State Street Cottage that is owned and operated by the same people. We wanted to be able to spend time together when we were back at the hotel/house so this was the perfect place.
We rested for a little while.. and tried to come up with a game plan for dinner. We ended up choosing the Shrimp Factory for dinner. It was way over priced and not very good. We were disappointed to say the least.

We called a night pretty early that evening because we had been walking all day and had big plans for Sunday. On Sunday, we ventured to Panera Bread for breakfast. Then headed to Bonaventure Cemetery. We spent a while out there looking at and reading the grave stones. I'm sure there are a lot of stories to go along with that place... After the cemetery we went to the Owens-Thomas house for a tour. When we finished up the tour we went to Leopold's ice cream for 'lunch'... which was a Pumpkin pie sundae.. and it was YUMMY!

After our ice cream stop we decided to check out City Market and Savannah's Candy Kitchen again. We did a little shopping and then headed over to Garibaldi's for dinner. This place was recommended by a friend of mine... it was delicious. It was much better than Shrimp Factory and cheaper! I had Lobster pasta and Jacob got the red fish special. Everything was so yummy. After dinner we went back to the house for a little while before our Ghost Walk tour. We thought it would be neat to check out Savannah at night and maybe see a ghost or two.. or maybe just learn more about the history of this awesome city. :-) I got a couple of pictures with interesting stuff in them from the ghost walk but nothing super creepy. The coolest one of from the courtyard at the Owens Thomas house. After our 2 hour ghost walk we were exhausted and headed back to the house. We had to head home on Monday but not before visiting Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House for lunch. We got there around 10:15 and got to eat around 11:50. It was definately worth the wait though. The table was full of any kind of vegetable you could think of, fried chicken, pot roast, and dessert! You sit at a table for ten with strangers and the food is served family style. It is a MUST if you visit Savannah.. just keep in mind that they are only open M-F 11-2.
We had a wonderful time and we have already started thinking about and planning our next visit.

Our Adventurous Labor Day Weekend

I must say I had more fun this past weekend than I have in a while. My friend Michelle flew in from NOLA and spent the weekend with us. We went to the US White Water center on Saturday. We ziplined, went white water rafting, did the free jump (well, Jacob did), and we did the adventure course. My favorite part of the day was white water rafting. We had a blast- even though I was almost thrown out twice (a special thanks to our guide, Christian, for saving me). The least favorite part of the day was the adventure course... I'm not sure who enjoys being suspsended in the air and having to complete an obstacle coarse that involves walking on a tight rope the entire time.. but it sure wasn't me! Anywho, it was a fun day and we will definitely be planning a trip to go back.
We spent Sunday at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. The weather was BEAUTIFUL! We took the rooftop tour in addition to the house tour. It was really neat to go up on the roof and do a little exploring.
I can't think of a better way to spend my three day weekend than with Good friends and Good fun!!
Until next time...

First Day of School! First Day of School!!

"I am an educator, a nurse, a coach, a motivator, a ref, a bathroom monitor, a janitor, a creator, an instigator, a mom, a bus loader, a counselor, a grader, and a writer. They just call me a teacher though. "

(The Kindergarten bulletin board with class lists)

Every year on the first day of school, I wake up and think, " First day of school, First day of school!" (from Finding Nemo). Well, today was just that.. the first day. This last week has been a whirlwind of craziness, just as back to school time always is. I had to go back last Wednesday (the 18th).. we started off the year with a Countywide convocation. We were released at 11:45 to go back to our schools and work in our rooms. On Thursday, we had our back to school staff meeting at my school..that lasted until roughly 11. We had the afternoons to work in our rooms. Friday, we had all day to work in our rooms and Kindergarten Parent Only night was that night from 7-8. I must say, this is probably my least favorite thing. I can get up in front of kids all day long, but you put me in front of adults and I am like a fish out of water. There are a couple of things that people get very touchy about.. one is their money.. the other is their children. :-) Jacob and I have the honor of dealing with both of them. Anyways, Parent night went well (just as it always does) and I was happy to have it behind me. Monday we had the day to work in our rooms and then it was Open House fomr 5-7. I was really excited to finally meet my new bear cubs! Tuesday was our last work day (I know what you're thinking.. 5 work days is a lot of time to get stuff done... however, I think most (if not all) teacher will agree that there is never enough time).

Everyone knows that Kindergarten is 'special'.. so we didn't have a normal day today (nor will we tomorrow). We spend two days doing Kindergarten Entry Assessments and meeting with parents. My back is already killing me from leaning over onto a table that is made for 5 year olds. The children begin coming on Friday. I will have 7 kids on Friday, 7 on Monday, and 7 on Tuesday. All 21 of them will be there on Wednesday.. and from here on out. The stagger days are my favorite because we get to go on a bear hunt and a safari.. and just be silly with the kids.

I have a really good feeling about this year... I have some great kids in my class and a great Kindergarten team to work with. Keep me (and all teachers) in your prayers as we begin this year. Just in case you are interested... Here is a link to My Classroom Website.

Jacob Update:
Jacob is doing really well. He went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago and his A1C was really good. I'm so proud of him. He has had to make so many adjustments to his lifestyle to accomodate diabetes but he never complains about any of it. He finally gets to pick up his concealed weapons permit on Friday- He's really excited about that!

My friend Michelle is coming to visit over Labor day weekend. We are planning to go to the White Water center and the Biltmore Estate. I'm really looking forward to spending some time with her. Jacob and I will be going to Savannah, GA the first weekend in October to meet up with Christina and Audie. I'm also really excited about this trip! I haven't seen Christina in a year and I miss her dearly!

Until next time...

August Already??

When I woke up this morning and looked at my phone, I realized today is August 1st. Really?! Where has my summer gone?? Holden Beach for 10 days, Jamaica for 6 days, and all the little things before/during/ and after.. is where it has gone. I officially have 17 days before I go back to work and the 'real world'.

School supplies have been out in Walmart for weeks now.. and I have been carefully avoiding them (for weeks now)! Anyone that knows me, knows that I LOVE school supplies/office stuff. You have no idea how happy a good pen and a pad of post-it notes makes me. However, I bought the first school supplies of the year (the 2010-2011 school year, that is) today. If it makes a difference, they weren't for me.. our church is collecting them.

This time of year makes me want stop time (or at least slooooow it down) so that I can savor my summer for a while longer.. but at the same time it makes me giddy and nervous about back to school. By this point in my summer vacation, I'm ready for a routine. I miss my schedule and I feel like I am busier now than I am during the school year (if that is even possible). I'm not quite ready to give up sleeping in (although- I don't seem to be doing much of that these days) but I am very excited to meet my new students and their families. I go back to work on Aug. 18th and I get to meet the parent's of my new kiddos on the 20th. The kids will drop in on Monday, the 23rd and I'll have one more work day before we start assessments, staggered days, and then full time with all the kids will begin Sept. 1st. As I approach my 4th year of teaching, I have a lot going through my mind. I have taken on the position of Grade Level Chair (along with my friend Shannon) this year which will be a lot of added responsibility. I am constantly thinking of ways to stay organized so that chaos will not ensue. My mind has been racing for weeks now about all of the back to school stuff that will soon be my reality. It's like I tell Jacob, tax season is his busy season and back to school time is my busy season. I never knew I could feel so many different things at once, excitement, worried, nervous, happy, and the list goes on and on.. but most of all I feel confident that this will be my best year yet!

D. Jacob Townsend, CPA, Manager

A couple of weeks ago Jacob got a promotion at work. He was promoted from a Senior staff accountant to a Manager. This is a big deal.. especially since he works for a small firm. He works really hard and it is so nice to be recognized for it! I'm so proud of him!

It's Irie Mon

Jacob and I just returned home from a trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica. We stayed at a Sandals resort from Sunday, July 11th - Friday, July 16th. I must say that those 6 days were absolutely wonderful. We learned a few things while in Jamaica, so throughout this entry I'll be filling you in on some of those things. Our trip started out a little rocky for a few reasons. I (being cheap, or frugal as I like to call it), was trying to save us money on the checked bags so we tried to fit everything into one large bag. Everything fit, that wasn't the problem, the problem was the bag weighed 60 lbs (10lbs over the limit). They would've charged us more for an overweight bag than they would have for 2 that were 50lbs or under... so at 4:15am on Sunday, I grab a smaller rolling bag to use as another carry on and fill it with stuff from the other suitcase... other stuff as in toiletries (not even thinking about the size limit of liquids for carry ons)... Well when we got to the airport, we realized that we were each allowed 2 FREE checked bags EACH since it was an international flight (UGH!). However, we still decided to carry on the smaller bag since we had packed a change of clothes (in case they lost our bag, we would have something to wear while waiting for it to arrive). I realized my mistake as soon as they scanned our bag in the security line. Oh well, it was too late to do anything but let the lady go through the bag and throw out everything that was too big (it wasn't much, but this process took a good 25min). (So, lesson #1: it's a good idea to pack a spare outfit in your carry on, just not all of your toiletries.. OH, and check with your airline because you get 2 free bags each with Delta on International flights..)We ended up having to walk VERY quickly to our gate in order to be on time.. we made it but didn't have time to get anything to eat.. no big deal, we'll grab something in Atlanta.. right? Wrong. We arrived in Atlanta at gate E and had to make it to A in 10 minutes (on complete opposite ends of the airport). Again, we had to move very quickly and had no time to get anything to eat.. If you know me, I am not a morning person, nor am I a very friendly person if I have not eaten... this was a very bad combination for me (and Jacob, since he had to sit by me). It was at this time I was very thankful that I had insisted the night before that we purchase snacks for our flight (hey, it was going to be 2 1/2 hours and they charge a fortune for snacks). Jacob, being diabtetic, was also thankful for our Gardettos and snickers bars. So, lesson #2: no matter what your husband says, ALWAYS pack snacks for the plane ride, he will thank you later.
Once we arrived in Jamaica and made it through customs (it only took us about an hour) we were escorted to the Sandals lounge while we waited for our shuttle to the resort. This wait was about 5 minutes. When we arrived to the resort, we were greeted with a cold towel and then taken to a room where they served us champagne while we filled out paperwork and waited on our room to be ready. After a quick lunch, it was time to see our room. They upgraded us to a honeymoon water's edge concierge room (everyone assumed we were on our honeymoon since we were a young couple, oh well, no complaints from us!). Since we were upgraded to a concierge room we had a fully stocked fridge that was restocked daily with beer, liquor, and sodas, however, snacks were not included and would cost you a pretty penny... by a pretty penny I mean $2 for a small bag of Cheetos (refer back to lesson #2 about buying snacks before the trip). The room was fabulous and the view was even better. We had a patio that opened up to a grassy area that overlooked the beautiful blue water. We also had a hot tub and small sun bathing area that we shared with a couple of other rooms. There was a mini rain storm shortly after we arrived, so we took a short nap before exploring the grounds and going to dinner. The first night we ate at the Bayside restaurant. The food was very good and we both loved the fact that we didn't have to 1.) find a place to eat or 2.) pay for dinner (well, you know what I mean). When we returned to our room we noticed an abundance of mosquitoes. We did not bring bugspray but decided that would be the first thing on our agenda the next morning. Lesson #3: BYOBS. Bring your own bug spray. They will charge you an arm and a leg (3x the USA price) for Off! And the mosquitoes LOVE American blood!
On day two we took our time getting ready and eating breakfast (a full buffet, with an omelet bar and smoothie station). Then picked up some fruity drinks and headed to lay on the beach. We did that all day.. only stirring to get another drink or cool off in the water. My drinks of choice were strawberry daiquiri, Jamaican Smile (mixture of strawberry, bananan, coconut rum, milk, more rum, ice, and who knows what else), or a Miami vice (mixture of strawberry daiquiri and pina colada. Jacob mainly drank Red Strip Light (Red stripe was the only beer our resort served, the Jamaicans love it) or he would occasionally get a Jamaican Smile or Dirty Banana (like a Jamaican smile, but without the strawberry stuff). Let me take a moment to assure you that we did not get drunk at all while on our trip.. it seemed like we were sweating out more than we took in so it was practically impossible to drink enough to get drunk or even get a buzz (although some people did find a way to accomplish this, we are not big drinkers so we did not). That night they had a beach party with authentic Jamaican food and some vendors from a local market. We ate dinner and then browsed the tables for souvenirs. I was surprised at how pushy the vendors were.. a lady named Jenni tried to sell us all kinds of things (as did the others). We learned a few things this night. Lesson #4: Never touch anything at a Jamaican market/store unless you plan to pay for it (some places weren't like this, like the resort, but in the markets, they were). And lesson #5: never pay full price for anything they are selling. Jenni wanted to charge me $25 for an item I purchased, but I ended up getting it for only $5. You just have to be willing to bargain and stand your ground. We were also shocked at the fact that both vendors tried to give us the items before we paid them (our money was in the room and we told them we had to go get it). They both wrapped it up and tried to get us to take it and pay them later. We were uncomfortable taking the items without paying them so we just asked them to hold them until we came back. I guess this is a way to ensure you will actually buy something, but on the other hand, dishonest people would take it and not ever pay them. Either way, we found it odd.
Day three started much like day 2 except we were woken up by the phone ringing around 9am. I didn't get to it in time so we didn't know who it was.. After laying in bed for another 15 minutes, it hit me that I might have planned our Dunns River Falls trip for Tuesday, not Wednesday.. so I jumped out of bed and went to check.. Sure enough, we were supposed to be in the lobby at 8:45 for the trip.. they were calling to remind us. I felt terrible that we had missed it and might not get to go..(my confirmation sheet said "No Refunds or no rescheduling!)  Lesson #6: just because you are on vacation, it does not mean your brain can also be on vacation.. keep up with your reservations! We got ready and went straight to the Islands Routes desk. Thankfully, the motto in Jamaica is "No Problem Mon!" and she rescheduled us for Wednesday. I felt much better and we could now continue on with our day of laying on the beach with fruit drinks in our hands. On Monday we had set up reservations for dinner the remainder of our trip. Tuesday night we were dining at Stewfish. This was a seafood restaurant that was literally on the beach. Our reservation was for 6:30, which meant the sun was setting.. and what a BEAUTIFUL sight this was.. just feet from the ocean and the sun reflecting on the water.. it was just.. Perfect.
Day four started bright and early since we were going on the Dunns River Falls trip that day. We were up with plenty of time to eat breakfast and then we even had about 20 mins. to spare. Whew! We didn't want to miss it! We looked awefully dorky in our bathing suits and water shoes, but that was the required dress code for climbing water falls in Jamaica. This was probably my favorite day (although I thoroughly enjoyed them all). We boarded the van with our driver Mickey, our tour guide Sharna, and 5 other couples. The drive to the falls was about an hour and 45 min. although it didn't feel that long since Sharna was telling us all about Jamaica and different places along the way. We passed through 3 of the 14 parishes in Jamaica to get there (St. James, Trelawney, and St. Ann). I loved hearing Sharna talk about the areas and the Jamaican way of life. However, I didn't love Mickey's driving.. I believe that road lines and traffic laws are MERELY SUGGESTIONS in Jamaica.. It was terrifying if you actually watched the road (which I had to since I get car sick). Lesson #7 (things I learned on the trip to/from the falls): a husband= a spoogie (spelling??), you are a virgin if it's your first time in Jamaica.. you are a Jamerican each time thereafter, if you are scared for your life because of Mickey's driving- you do not yell Oh My Gosh or anything like that.. you simply cover your eyes and say "No Problem Mon" and when you uncover them the problem will be sovled, if you say "yes" instead of "yeah mon" Sharna will make you sing to everyone, we had to introduce ourselves by saying: "me name ___, me from ___, me love ___, and open containers ARE allowed in Jamaica (as long as your not driving). Two of the stores we passed on the way were "On De Run" and "Tek It EZ" - I'm serious. Once we made it to Dunns River Falls we had to walk from the bus to the falls in our bathing suits and water shoes (yes, we were quite a sight). Sharna warned us of a few things before we left: 1. men will try to give you a 'free' necklace- it is not free, once you put it on, you have to pay for it. 2. people will ask your name, as soon as you tell them, they will begin carving it into a wooden statue, you then must pay for it. 3. the guide and videographer will expect tips and will follow you to the bus in order to get them (we were not allowed to tip any of the Sandals employees, but everyone else made it a point to let us know if they were not employed with Sandals and could therefore accept tips). These were all very helpful tips. We met our falls guide, Leroy Stewart, and began our journey. The view from the bottom of the falls was beautiful but we started climbing the falls and didn't look back. Leroy picked me to be at the front of the line (out of about 30 people).. I guess I looked qualified because along the way (more often than not) he would just motion for me to go on and lead the group while he took pictures for all the couples at different stops. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate him taking the pictures but I had NO clue how to climb water falls, so I did my best (and we all survived, so, I guess it was good enough). We spent about an hour climbing the falls... it was an experience I will never forget. Once during the climb we stopped to do a natural water slide.. it was a small slide but packed a big punch (I inhaled a good bit of water on this one, even after preparing for the slide). Another time Leroy had Jacob stand behind me and wrap his arms around me and we free falled backwards into the water.. very fun (poor Jacob, I felt his back slam against the bottom, I guess that's why he was behind me). I would definitely recommend this excursion to others. We were exhausted from climbing the falls (and my legs were def. feeling it the next day) but we hit the beach with some drinks until time to get ready for dinner. We dined at Cucina Romano that night (an italian restaurant upstairs, overlooking the water). It was delicious. Creme Brulee and Blue Mountain coffee were a perfect way to end that day.
Day five was spent on the beach with fruity drinks (are you seeing a trend here??). We were trying to soak up as much of the sun as we could. That night for dinner we went to Tokyo Joes. This is a Japanese restaurant that overlooks the water. They bring you your appetizer and soups and then you go to a bar to compile all of the veggies you want in your entree, then you watch them cook it in big woks. Dinner was very yummy.. but I must say the chocolate banana dessert was FINE.. hands down the tastiest dessert of the whole trip and maybe of my while life (okay, it wasn't better than a strawberry patch, but it was VERY close!). After dinner it was time to go back to our room and pack.. We had to leave the hotel at 5am on Friday.
Day 6 was a very sad day. We did not want to leave.. but I was looking forward to seeing our pups and sleeping in our own bed. Sometimes it just nice to be home. Our trip home was anything but smooth.. We encountered some delays on both flights for various reasons. After leaving the resort at 5am and not getting home til 9:30pm (we were scheduled to be home at 4), we were ready to crash. We brought with us many memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. I'm very thankful that we had the opportunity to take this trip together. Below I have posted a few pictures from the trip. You can view all of them on my facebook page.
Until next time...

Holden Beach- Here we come!

We have officially joined the world of blogging. We won't waste any time before updating you on our lives. Summer is in full swing at our house. My last day of school with the kids was June 10th. I had a few work days and then we were off to the beach for our annual Holden Beach trip. Jacob was more than ready for a break since he hadn't had a vacation since Christmas and he had survived another tax season. They definitely aren't getting any easier!
Anyways, we had planned to arrive at Mommie Ellie's beach house on Friday, June 19th and stay until Sunday, June 27th. It is very handy having a family member that owns a beach place... it sure cuts down on the overall cost of the trip. We met my mom, dad, and brother down there. Briana joined us for the last weekend. We spent many days lounging on the beach soaking up some sun and enjoying our latest books. We also spent several days fishing. Jacob caught a flounder and a toadfish (I think that is what it is called.. the really ugly one?). I caught a tiny pin fish and I had a whopper on my line when Jacob and my mom decided to step in and it got away. Oh well, it makes for a good fishing story. :-) We also enjoyed ice cream from Fantasy Isle... Jacob and I found a new favorite- New Orleans Paline Pecan- yummmmmm.

We were sad to leave the beach but we were also happy to be coming home. Like the old saying goes.. "There's no place like home" and as I like to say "There's no bed like your own!"
We're counting down the days until our trip to Jamaica but until then... it's back to the grind for Jacob and well, lazy summer days ahead for me!
Until next time...
